Now it's much more desireable to live further north which is probably why Ocean Pkwy is allowed to stay garbage strewn a bulk of the time and our little enclave off the entrance is a mess of trash and cracking sidewalks... My parents lived in brooklyn until the 70's and back in their day (and for many long time brooklyn residents) Ocean Parkway was THE place to live. It really was like the madison avenue of brooklyn. If you had money and you wanted a showoff address you moved to ocean parkway.
