We heard from a neighbor that although we've missed it that construction is coming along at old Jimmy's Deli. The rumour is it'll be a coffee shop but we don't want to get our hopes up. Anyone got any inside scoop?
Also the old M&A space on Ft. Hamilton and E4th is for rent. The space is HUGE! Another local spot for rent is the Furniture store that lasted all of 4 months on Church Ave b/w East 4th and 5th. We don't have any info at the moment on either space but there is a sign w a number at the M&A. What would be useful in these spots?

maybe a bakery or butcher/pork store?
I don't know if anyone else around here is with me on this one, but I would really appreciate a place to get a decent cup of coffee.
We need a place to buy telescopes, to help us see all the cool shit in other neighborhoods that will never come to Kensington.
We need a comic book & gaming store - for the, eh, kids. The 30 year old kids with children. :)
We need quality women that put out constantly and don't mind an indiscriminate one night stand.
I'm the neighbor, and I'm pretty sure it was the owner I was talking to who said it would be a coffee shop...when I said the collective mind of kensington might explode at having it's long-time dream come true, he laughed and said I should make sure to come by once they are open. I give it a 90% chance of being accurate.
do we know the rent of the M&A space?
I thought that building was for sale and that's why the old music tenants left.
The building is for sale, but I don't think that's why the music business left. I live in one of the apartments upstairs and I occasionally see prospective tenants checking out the commercial space downstairs. As far as I know, the sale of the building won't affect any of its occupants (at least, I hope not).
Where is this future coffee shop that you all speak of located?
i live in the building. it's going to be a coffee shop called The Oak and the Iris.
