Has anyone ever been to the Miami Cafe on Cortelyou near E. 3rd Street? How is there?
Also, I've noticed a lot of "discussion" here about coffee shops. What's up with that? Maybe you could convince one of the diners to offer wifi in the meantime.
P.S.: I'd like to see a nice independent book store around here.

I would most definitely not go there on a Friday night. There is this very young and wild yet harmless group that goes there to get drunk before they hit the clubs. Have fun trying to have a conversation over that loud assed crowd. Good news is they are usually gone by midnight.
OH and I soooo would be there IF my live in babysitters (teenagers) were not spending the weekend with their dad. The little ones need me home with them and well leaving them alone to go grab a drink and chat might get me some jail time. Who wants to make up the news headlines for that one?? "Kensington MOM grabs drink at Denny's with local bloggers and forgets babies home alone...." LOLOLOL

sorry, if i were to fall off the wagon, it would not be for denny's. also, can someone maybe get them to dim the lights? i've tried denny's exactly twice, and the bright lights were exactly why i have never stepped foot in there again.
Well 10:01 was right, they were louder than hell and not only insisted on a steady stream of bad music, but got damn-near warlike when anyone else went near the juke box. We had a 6 person turn out although we suspect it was actually 8...Sorry guy-with-hat and girl-in-black. It took too long for anyone to break the ice.
Is this the only report back?? I want more! Did you guys hang out late? did you get drunk?? LOL Come on! I was stuck home with kids and thinking of you all. Give a girl something more please!
I left around 12:30, so I can't really report on how late anyone else stayed. The problem was that no one knew who was there because of the blog and who was just there. Holly nominated herself official icebreaker and brought the 6 of us together, so she gets a cookie. I had a good time meeting everyone and so did Lisa (my girlfriend). The next one will be even better, I'm sure.

I use my debit card at fast food restaurants. Its fast and hassle free.
The point is that Denny's really is not the type of place that takes credit cards.

Boy did YOU guys miss an AWESOME time.
I went to shenanigan's but got there I can't remember what time. Think it might have been before 10 with a friend. Did anyone go? There were two to three people at the bar and two people outside at that time.

Got there at 10, the place was empty had a drink and headed somewhere else. I was all up and ready for Saturday night Karoke
