It's official, Regina's will soon be a Thai Restaurant. Don't any of these entrepreneurs take a little look see around the hood before deciding on a focus? Chinese, Thai, 'Indian', and pizza are taken care of on this end of Church! Plus, after Angie's hospitality at the recent Artist Social we're feelin' pretty loyal to Thai Tonys.

actually, i think this will be great. we'll now have a thai at both ends and the middle of kensington. love thai tony's though!
the same places are reflective of the neighborhood; and i thought that's what many die hard neighborhood people want. look at jackson heights.. tons of columbian, peruvian and indian places. it's bustling, but i don't think more of the same is always bad. no super fancy schmancy restaurants there either (well that i know of). and it still manages to be a place that draws people.
on that note, a sushi place would've been welcome. :)
It won't last. Stores/restaurants at that location never last longer than a few months.
A little competition is always good. Keeps 'em on their toes!!!
nOW IF WE COULD JUST GET A GOOD COFFEE SHOP!
You said Pizza was covered, I think all the pizza places here stink! What places do people suggest in this neighborhood? A nice consistent slice and maybe a gourment slice once in a while.
I haven't found any super pizza places (still have yet to go to difara's in the next hood). however, the slices at the corner of cortelyou and CIA are not too bad. it's pretty clean, ample seating.
People come from around the country to go to DiFaras and it's right in your backyard. You can't walk there from Kensington and you have to be patient with the crowds so it won't be your local slice. But there's no reason you shouldn't be there as much as possible anyway.
Here's pne reason to not be at Difara's as much as possible: It's recent closure by the health department for rodent droppings....for the second time! That's gross...
Korner Pizza on 3rd and Chruch is the best in the nabe but their prices increase at a disproportionate rate. A slice is more than $2.00. There is no need for that.
I thinks Korner sucks, prefer Rocky's when I'm in the mood for lots of toppings .. .
quiero mi cortadito!and i find it ridiculous that dahill pizza slices cost more than the subway.
Yes, Difara's IS gross! Even though, they're reopened there's NO reason why anyone should go down there. EVER. HORRIBLE PIZZA, HORRIBLE CONDITIONS. DON'T GO TO DIFARA'S EVER...please.
best pizza is ginos on 13ave and like 40th street or something
Yes!!! I've been going to Gino's on 13th and 40 or 41st for 20 years and I've never had a better slice!!!
best pizza by far (i can't believe no one mentioned this!) is little toninos in the old egg cream factory by the basketball courts - try the godmother pie - simply amazing and fresh!
Gino's on 13th Ave has terrific pizza, especially if you're in the mood for a square. My out of town family always gets pizza from there whenever they come to Brooklyn.
little toninos is bad, I am tired of getting old pizza. It is way too inconsistent. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life and nkow pizza in the borough but am new to this neighborhood and cant seem to find a good slice- sometimes the place on Caton and Ocean Parkway has a good slice, Rocky's- Coney Island isnt too good nor are the places on Church- any other places I missed in the neighborhood to eat at?
Yayyy!! My home is in the picture. I live right above the soon to be opened To-B-Thai! Personally I'm looking forward to it, because the thai place close to Foodtown wasn't too appealing the two times I had it.
